Steve is one of the leading figures in the movement to create a legal, regulated cannabis market in the U.S. His work spans from being the only full-time cannabis lobbyist in Congress in the early 2000s, working on behalf of the Marijuana Policy Project, to founding the National Cannabis Industry Association in 2010. He currently serves as strategic adviser to the Cannabis Trade Federation, an association comprised of leading U.S. cannabis companies. Steve also served as lead drafter of Colorado’s historic Amendment 64 and managed all aspects of the 2012 campaign that led to its passage.
