Judge John Delaney is a Senior District Judge for the State of Texas. Now retired from elected office, he continues to try cases by special assignment.  

He was educated at Princeton University and the University of Texas School of Law. He served as a Navy officer on an amphibious ship during the Vietnam War era. 

Judge Delaney is a frequent speaker for Law Enforcement Action Partnership, an international group of law enforcement veterans who are critics of the “War on Drugs.”  He has testified multiple times to the Texas Legislature in favor of marijuana law reforms.
