Don Murphy is the Director of Federal Policies for the Marijuana Policy Project. Named one of the top federal cannabis advocates by Politico, he can often be found greeting member on the Capitol steps. Pols from both parties call him, “tenacious, ubiquitous, omnipresent, relentless, persistent, and like gum on one shoe.” The NCIA said, “If we had ten Don Murphy’s, cannabis would be legal by now.”
Murphy is a former member of the Maryland General Assembly. He was the original lead sponsor of the Darrell Putman Compassionate Use Act, a medical marijuana bill that was signed into law in 2003.
